In short, you can absolutely skip the first major fight in the game if you know where to shoot. We don’t recommend doing this in your first playthrough, but it’s a good tip for later runs in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. Keep reading below for a full outline of how to skip the skirmish.

Resident Evil 4 Remake – How to Skip the Village Fight

When you think about how the first major fight in the game comes to a halt, it all starts to make sense. The corrupted villagers will relentlessly attack you, along with the chainsaw man, until the bell starts to ring. The sound of the bell from the bell tower causes the villagers to drop their weapons and enter the church.

You can ring the bell as soon as the village fight begins in the Resident Evil 4 Remake. All you need to do is shoot the bell in the tower yourself, and as long as you have ammo, this is entirely possible. But you still need to find the tower itself, which isn’t located in the main village.

To reach a vantage point where you can hit the bell, enter the house where the shotgun is in the village. Head up the stairs and look toward the shotgun mount on the wall, and then look toward the window on the right side of the stairs. Jump out of the window, and you’ll see a tower in the distance. The bell is slightly hidden behind a tree. Having a scope makes this much easier, but it should still be possible with the pistol if you can hit the shot.
