These days, more and more games seem to force online interactions instead of allowing those who prefer a solo experience to enjoy the game their way. With its massive open world and survival-crafting elements meant for a party, is it possible to play Nightingale single-player? Let’s find out!
Can You Play Nightingale Solo?
According to the developer in a recent Frequently Asked Questions post, you can play through the entirety of Nightingale solo or with a total party of five players. The game allows up to six players per Realm, their version of a server, which is less than many initially thought. Most who saw the game likened it to Conan Exiles, an open-world survival game in which tens of players could come together in a single server to battle and build bases.
In comparison, Nightingale is much smaller in scale, but that’s not bad. The low player count will make for more meaningful decisions when playing with a stable group, precisely where to build a base, what monsters to tackle, and how to complete objectives.
What is Nightingale?
In Nightingale, you will take on the role of a Realmwalker, an individual capable of stepping between the various realms to survive and uncover the mysteries of the Fae Realms. To accomplish such a goal, the game tasks you with surviving, crafting necessary tools and equipment, building a base, and fighting against countless unique enemies, including behemoths that roam the landscape. And speaking of landscape, a unique mechanic known as Realm Cards will help you reshape the world and change the traits of the land itself!
It’s a game of magic, exploration, and wits. And the best part is that you can play it solo or with a group of friends. Obviously, playing with a group will ensure faster progression overall, but sometimes it’s relaxing or necessary to play alone.
Nightingale launches into Steam Early Access on February 20th!
