Klownpocalypse to go?

Every since I bought the Steam Deck, I find myself gravitating towards it more often. After a long day spent writing at the computer? It’s the Steam Deck I want to play on the living room couch. Does Killer Klowns From Outer Space Have Steam Deck Support?

You’ll be happy to learn that, while the asymmetrical horror game isn’t officially supported on Steam Deck yet, it does work exceptionally well. As Killer Klowns From Outer Space was designed with PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in mind, controller functionality works wonders.

That said, there’s no official word from the studio yet regarding Steam Deck support or verification. It’s likely they’re focused on launch day, with a big day-one patch to iron out any bugs or glitches found during the advance play period.

With the relatively mild system requirements for the game, along with controller support, it appears playing on the Steam Deck may be the go-to move in the future. I’ll certainly make time for a match or two before bed each night for the foreseeable future!

Does Killer Klowns From Outer Space Work Well With a Controller?

Regarding the controller support for Killer Klowns From Outer Space, you genuinely have nothing to worry about. Developer IllFonic designed the game with every intention of supporting modern consoles and, that means, modern controllers.

Overall, Killer Klowns isn’t a complex or confusing multiplayer game. You have a few controls to remember, including your various special abilities and light inventory management while playing as a Human, but it all works well with a controller.

I’ll still likely play with a mouse and keyboard while sitting at my desktop, but it’s nice to know the option exists if I ever feel especially lazy!

Now that you know Killer Klowns From Outer Space works on Valve’s handheld, are you going to join us in attempting to reach the max level?
