Can You Get More Than One Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy?

If you’ve progressed far enough into the story to catch a phoenix, you may recall having to complete a specific quest and venture into Phoenix Mountain Cave to rescue it. Throughout the mission, you explored the cave, fought off poachers and found the bird sitting atop a rock, ready for you to catch and bring to your Vivarium.

However, this cave doesn’t spawn multiple phoenixes, and no dens appear on the map to get more. In other words, there is no way to get more than one phoenix.

Can You Breed the Phoenix in Hogwarts Legacy?

Since you can only get up to one phoenix, this also means that it is the only magical beast you can have in your Vivarium that does not breed. While every other beast, including Graphorns, unicorns and Thestrals, can reproduce due to each animal having dedicated dens, the phoenix is the only exception. Even at the very end of the game, you can only have one phoenix in your Vivarium, with no way to buy, rescue or breed more.
