Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s first big DLC pack is now available, bringing with it new Sabotage maps, as well as a new zombies map, Rave in the Redwoods. Many players have reported several issues with the new update, though, with many reporting things like ‘disc read error: imagefile202.pak’, ‘cp_rave’, and an assortment of other issues related to the new maps and DLC. In this article we’ll go over some of the most common fixes currently available for the Sabotage DLC disc read error to help you get back into the game as quickly as possible.
Reinstall the Game
While Activision has reported that they are looking into the issues causing these errors, unfortunately there’s not many ways to go about fixing them right now. The simplest way to try to fix the error is to complete uninstall the game and reinstall it and the DLC all over again. This can be done right from the PlayStation menu, or you can do it from the settings. This is currently one of Activision’s suggest troubleshooting steps, and it has proven to be helpful for quite a few people.
Clear your Cache and Delete Save Files
If you think that your date might be corrupted, which could be likely given the issues persisting over the past day and a half, you can always clear our your console’s cache and save data just to be safe. Though, you should always back up this data before deleting it, in case it doesn’t fix the issue, as deleting save data is permanent.
To clear the cache, power down your PlayStation 4 (don’t put into Rest Mode. Power it down all the way), and then wait for the lights to cut off entirely. Once this happens, unplug the power cord and wait 30 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and boot the PlayStation 4 up again.
To delete save files, head into the Settings menu, access Storage Management, Saved Data, and then select Delete. This will delete your saved data.
Wait for an Update
Unfortunately, there aren’t really any other troubleshooting steps currently available for users experiencing issues with the game. Activision is working hard to find a solution and we expect an update for the DLC to drop within the next day or so. If one of the troubleshooting steps above did manage to get your game working again, be sure to check out our Rave in the Redwoods guide for detailed walkthroughs and guides to help you in the new zombies map introduced with Sabotage. We know these issues are annoying, and that many of you want to be able to play the new DLC right now, but unfortunately these things can happen when a big update is released. All that’s left to do now is wait for Activision to figure out what the issue is and get it sorted in the next update.
