Borderlands 3 Woodblocker Guide – How to Get This Sniper Rifle

This Hyperion sniper rifle is a Legendary sniper rifle that can drop as either Corrosive, Shock, Cryo, Incendiary, or Radiation. What we like about this particular weapon is the fact that it can irradiate enemies, which is pretty impressive, and it also fires in 4-round bursts. It’s special weapon effect, listed as “You don’t get into woodblocks unless you are ready to f***,” allows for damage done to your shield to actually increase the damage of the overall weapon. Yes, that means that taking hits from enemies will make your own shots hurt more.

Now, we reckon that the weapon special effect of the Woodblocker is pretty useful. That being said, how do you actually get your hands on one of these bad boys? Well, there’s the rub – there’s no specific sidequest to be completed, and no singular boss that drops it without fail or has a higher drop rate than other mobs. You’re basically going to have to acquire it the old fashioned way: randomly.

That’s right, you can get the Borderlands 3 Woodblocker sniper rifle from any random loot source. It doesn’t matter if you’re farming Graveward (which we’d recommend since the fight is so speedy, according to our guide) or if you’re just running around and opening every single Psycho’s bedside table and praying that there’s a sniper rifle in there. Your chance to get it is totally random, so all you can do is persist.

Now that you know how to pick up this particular Legendary, getting one will be a matter of time. Need a hand with anything else in Borderlands 3? Check out some of these tips and tricks that we’ve put together for aspiring Vault Hunters:
