Best XCE BAR Attachments in Battlefield 2042

Versatile Precision

Battlefield 2042’s fifth season, New Dawn, introduced three new weapons, one of which is the bullpup sniper rifle the XCE BAR. This sniper rifle is highly versatile but has some work to do to stand out against the roster of long-range rifles already in the game. Here we will detail two of the best setups that maximize the XCE’s effectiveness in Battlefield 2042.

Sneaky Sniper

Muzzle: Type 4 Heavy Suppressor

Sight: Ghost Hybrid 1.5-4x

Magazine: Subsonic

Underbarrel: ADR Bipod

This version of the sniper focuses on being undetectable. With the subsonic rounds and Type 4 Heavy Suppressor, your shots will never show up on the minimap, you will have no muzzle flash, and a low power scope keeps you from giving off scope glints to attract counter snipers. You’ll need to get in closer than the typical sniper, but this makes it easier for you to assist in objective captures. Just make sure you make your shots count because two body shots will be required for a kill unless you get a one-shot headshot.

Long Range Pressure

Muzzle: Tactical Compensator

Sight: XCE Scope / 2038 6x Thermal Sight

Magazine: Standard Issue / Extended

Underbarrel: ADR Bipod/ Cobra Grip

The long-range option is more typical of a snipe rifle. Here you will be using the 6x scope to take out targets at a greater distance, with a more standard ammo type. While this role does not make the XCE BAR stand out from the other weapons in this class, it is equally as effective for counter-sniping and covering an infantry advance. Make sure to keep yourself moving, and if you find yourself firing between shooting positions, make sure to swap out to the Cobra Grip for better accuracy. Otherwise set up and make the most of the bipod to suppress enemy lanes of advance.
