Best X12 Loadout in COD MW2 Ranked Play

Remember, switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading!

There’s only one pistol that’s allowed under the CDL ruleset in Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, and that’s the X12. Many of the base game attachments for the sidearm are restricted as well, and even then, it can be tough to tell which attachments are the best for competitive modes.

You won’t see sidearms used much in Ranked Play, but when they are, it’s for specialized loadouts and it’s even more important for the X12 loadout to be done right. In this guide, we’ll outline which attachments you need in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and exactly why.

COD MW2 Ranked Play – Best X12 Loadout

Most of the time, the only players you’ll see carrying a side arm are snipers. Some rush players will use them in case they run out of ammo as well. Regardless of the use, one thing always remains the same, and that’s the fact that the X12 needs to be lightning-fast in MW2. You can see all the attachments to achieve that listed below.

X12 Ranked Play Loadout:

  • Barrel: XRK LUC-9
  • Trigger Action: XRK Lightning Fire
  • Rear Grip: Cronen Lima 6

On this loadout, we want to keep the attachments to a bare minimum. Most of the decent ones are restricted, and we don’t want to bulk the weapon down with additional pieces. Our goal is to increase the draw speed and the ADS speed of the X12. The XRK LUC-9 is a great starting point that also helps with movement speed which makes up for not having a knife.

The second attachment is the XRK Lightning Fire trigger. Simply put, this is applied to increase the fire rate of this sidearm by a substantial amount in ranked play. Because the X12 isn’t as strong as the P890, we need to be able to send shots down range as fast as possible.

Our last attachment is the Cronen Lima 6, and it’s the most important attachment of the three in MW2 Ranked Play. This rear grip is used for the fastdraw perk. Whenever you pull your sidearm, your primary will go into your left hand, and the pistol will be drawn in the blink of an eye. It’s perfect for any last-minute defense when using a sniper in COD.
