Whether it’s for camo challenges or the main story missions, you will eventually need to hunt down Hellhounds in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies. Here’s the best way to find Hellhounds in MW3 Zombies.
Where to Find Hellhounds in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies
The best way to Find Hellhounds in MW3 Zombies is by completing Raid Weapon Stash Contracts anywhere in Urzikstan. Compared to any other objective on the map, the weapon stashes offer up a ton of zombies to kill and plenty of chances for the hounds to spawn. In my own experience, I have been able to kill at least 10 Hellhound any time I break open a stash on my own.
Each Raid Weapon Stash Contract takes a couple of minutes to complete, and about four Hellhounds will appear every 20-30 seconds. This gives you plenty of time to farm kills on the fiery beast while collecting some Rift Rewards on the side. Once you complete one stash, just mark the next one and continue the cycle.
Aside from the stashes, Hellhounds will appear almost anywhere, but it won’t be in swarms. If you just explore Urzikstan, you can usually find a couple hiding in buildings or spawning out in the open as hordes chase you down the road. Just keep an eye out for the fiery orbs that appear before one of the hounds jumps out.
For those of you who are on the Cryo Freeze Ammo challenge in the story, the Raid Weapon Stash Contract is still your best bet. Bring a grey weapon that has low damage so that the freeze can be applied. With a dozen Hellhounds spawning at the safe, you should have plenty of chances to make progress.
How to Pet Hellhounds in MW3 Zombies
You can pet a Hellhound in MW3 Zombies by first finding the doghouse icon on the map. You’ll also need the Chunk of Flesh item, which randomly drops from zombies. It’s a blue rarity item, so keep a lookout for that.
Next, take the Chunk of Flesh to the Doghouse and transfer it there from your inventory. This should make the Doghouse explode and a Hellhound will come out. This Hellhound won’t attack you, but you can walk up to it and pet it by interacting with it. This nets the “You Can Pet The Dog” achievement too.
Before you tackle the challenge, make sure you know how to get Cryo Freeze Ammo in MW3 Zombies.
