Now that Valorant is out of its closed beta and available to the public, there are lots of new players suiting up and hopping into the game. With tons of different Agents to play as, it can be hard to know which is the best Valorant character for beginners. In this guide, we are going to take a look at three Agents that will be good for players who are just starting out.

Best Valorant Characters For a Beginner

At the time of writing, there are 10 different Agents available to players in Valorant. As you might expect, each character comes with a unique set of skills and abilities, some of which are easy to get the hang of, while others aren’t. If you’ve only loaded up the game a few times, you’ll likely want to start with one of the simpler characters and work your way up. In the table below, you’ll find our top three picks for the best Valorant characters for a beginner, along with a list of their abilities.

Lastly, if you’re a fan of hanging back, gathering intel, and making callouts for your teammates, you’ll want to play as Sova.
