Best TAQ-56 Loadout in COD MW2 Season 3 Reloaded

Still the king of the meta.

We’re now in Season 3 Reloaded and the TAQ-56 remains the most used assault rifle in the game. It’s arguably the best rifle in public matches, but it’s undoubtedly the king of Ranked Play, so most Call of Duty players that want to sweat use the TAQ instead of other options anyway.

What made the TAQ-56 so strong in every other update until now is still true. The headshot damage multiplayer on the weapon is crazy and the accuracy of each shot is impossible to beat outside of close quarters, so everyone should have a decent loadout at their disposal.

Minor attachments tend to change depending on the player, but the idea is always the same on the scar. The goal is to maintain as much recoil control as possible while also adding mobility so that the Vaznev-9k isn’t impossible to defend against. Most of the attachments are still standard and I have stuck by this class for the past few weeks on the TAQ.

Best TAQ-56 Loadout in Modern Warfare 2:

  • Barrel: 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel
  • Muzzle: Komodo Heavy
  • Underbarrel: Edge-47 Grip
  • Rear Grip: Demo Cleanshot Grip
  • Stock: TV Cardinal Stock

Three of the attachments listed are based on recoil control and bullet velocity. Both the 17.5″ Tundra Pro Barrel and the Komodo Heavy muzzle will ensure that shots are accurate at any range. We can add the Edge-47 grip as well because the ADS speed changes to underbarrels. If you want a bit more mobility, use the Sharkfin instead.

For mobility, I always stick with the Demo Cleanshot Grip and the TV Cardinal Stock. Both of these have fantastic ADS speed increases while maintaining accuracy. Anything more on the TAQ-56 in COD MW2 and you’ll start to see the weapon suffer at range. The goal is to dominate the competition at any range.
