The Scorched Earth DLC in Ark: Survival Ascended has introduced several new resources, and Sulfur is one of the more important ones for players to get. But since it’s not as accessible for beginners, it can be tricky to obtain. Here are the best Sulfur locations in Ark: Survival Ascended Scorched Earth.
Top Ark: Survival Ascended Scorched Earth Sulfur Locations
If you’re looking for Sulfur, the best locations are in the mountains. Barring a particular area to the southeast, you can find mountains in just about every other region. Typically, it’s the top-most part where you’ll find the deposits. This is the same reason why it could be difficult to get this particular compound, especially when starting the game.
However, there are certain ways to make it easy for you to reach the locations where Sulfur is. It’s also worth noting that these regions can have some pretty aggressive dinosaurs, so it’s best to proceed with caution.
How to Get Sulfur in Ark: Survival Ascended Scorched Earth
The easiest way to reach the top of the mountains is with the help of a tamed Argentavis. You can use your tamed pet to clear the area of smaller dangers. It can also carry an Ankylosaurus that will increase the yield of the Sulfur you can obtain from a given region. To mine the item, you’ll also need a metal or stone pick.
You could also defeat Rock Elementals and Wyverns to get Sulfur, but the amount of effort it requires isn’t worth it at all. Getting to the top of mountains and obtaining the element is a far more rewarding experience.
To increase the yield, you can use a Mantis, but Argentavis can’t carry them. To take a Mantis to the top of the mountains, you’ll need a tamed Wyvern.
Sulfur is pretty useful in crafting different items, which range from tools to weapons. Hence, it’s always important to farm them whenever you come across them on the expansive map of Ark: Survival Ascended Scorched Earth.
