The Best Starting Class for Each Playstyle in Tarisland

The right class for you!

Tarisland doesn’t shy away from the usual tropes within the MMORPG genre; it embraces them and improves upon the overall mechanic or feature in a few worthwhile ways. One such way is in its class system, which offers excellent replayability. Here are the best starting classes in Tarisland for each of the Holy Trinity playstyles!

The Best Tarisland Class for Tanks

There are three tank-centric classes in Tarisland, including the Warrior, Paladin, and Barbarian Fighter. But as you can only choose one, we recommend playing as the Warrior for the traditional Tank experience in Tarisland.

You see, the Warrior features numerous abilities, specifically within the Rage specialization, that focus on dealing damage to large mobs, breaking defenses, and dealing single-target damage to enemies. That’s all well and good, but for the genuine tank-like playstyle, you’ll want to skip all the damage and opt for War Shield. It’s a defensive skill-centric specialization that allows the player to wield shields as weapons, dealing area-of-effect damage while also bolstering overall resistance and health.

The Best Tarisland Class for DPS

While I typically fall into a tank role in an MMORPG, my backup is usually DPS. It feels so incredibly satisfying to slay entire mobs or solo-run bosses and dungeons without much fear. In Tarisland, this means choosing the Shadow Swordsman!

Both of the Shadow Swordsman’s specializations—Cunning and Duel—bolster DPS and melee damage overall. Cunning, specifically, deals damage via poison with poison blades and buffs, allowing you to deal direct damage and damage over time with each hit.

Alternatively, Duel masters shadow damage and duel-wield weapons to quickly take down single-target foes.

The Best Tarisland Class for Support

I can’t remember a single MMO in which I played a support role, but the unique variety in Tarisland may make me change my mind. More specifically, it’s the Bard class, which combines a few unique roles, such as damage and ranged, alongside more support-centric abilities, like healing.

If you want to play a support class, then the Bard’s Harmony specialization should be your go-to. It offers the ability to heal targets, reduce incoming damage, heal entire groups of allies, increase attack and attack speed, and further bolster your party members with buffs.

If you intend to survive the game’s many boss encounters, then you’ll want a Bard in your party!

The MMORPG genre appears to be flourishing lately, with beta sign-ups for World of Warcraft: The War Within and now Tarisland!
