Elden Ring players can get the Scavenger’s Curved Sword at Mt. Gelmir in the base game. Players do not need the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC to get it.

Start at the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace and make your up the hill along the right side. There will be a stone pillar that acts as a bridge over to another piece of land. Ride over the pillar, watch out for the falling enemy, and the Scavenger’s Curved Sword can be found on a corpse near the base of the ladder.

Players can only get one Scavenger’s Curved Sword per playthrough, so New Game+ is recommended to get two swords. One sword can be good enough, but two will help incur blood loss on enemies much faster.

The Scavenger’s Curved Sword requires 14 Dexterity and 9 Strength, and players will have more than each by the time they get the weapon. Having a high Arcane is also important to increase the amount of blood loss. Here is the full Scavenger’s Curved Sword build:

Gear TypeGear
Right Hand ArmamentScavenger’s Occult Curved Sword with Seppuku Ash of War
Left Hand ArmamentScavenger’s Occult Curved Sword with Seppuku Ash of War, Any Seal
IncantationsGolden Vow
ArmorWhite Mask and any Armor, Gauntlets, or Greaves
TalismansClaw Talisman, Lord of Blood’s Exultation, Millicent’s Prosthesis, Rotten Winged Sword Insignia
Wonderous Physick MixFaith-knot Crystal Tear, Thorny Cracked Tear, Bloodsucking Cracked Tear (Requires Shadow of the Erdtree DLC)

The build is about empowering blood loss and increasing attack power after multiple hits. The White Mask and Lord of Blood’s Exultation increase attack power after blood loss, while the Millicent’s Prosthesis and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia increase power from multiple hits.

The Claw Talisman increases jump attack damage, so the plan is to jump attack your enemy with two swords, which will hit the enemy four times and immediately cause blood loss. Casting Seppuku and drinking the Physick Mix beforehand will increase the power of both blood loss and successive hits.
