Gloom Resistance Recipes and Ingredients in Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)

The best Gloom Resistance Recipes include dishes like the Warding Salt-Grilled Meat and the Dark Rice Balls. Nearly every recipe is going to require Dark Clump ingredients and they have to be purchased from Bargainer Statues. With that said, you can find a few of the best recipes below.

Best Gloom Resistance Recipes in TOTK:

  • Warding Salt-Grilled Meat – 2 x Dark Clump, 2 x Meat, 1 x Rock Salt
  • Dark Rice Balls – 1 x Dark Clump, 1 x Rock Salt, 1 x Hylian Rice
  • Dark Soup – 1 x Dark Clump, 1 x Tabantha Wheat, 1 x Milk, 1 x Goat Butter

Each of these recipes will give you more time to stand in Gloom pockets before one of your hearts is temporarily removed. There is another resistance type that restores the hearts that were taken away in Tears of the Kingdom, and for that, you can use Sundelions in recipes. I recommend having both types of Gloom Resistance as you explore the Depths of Hyrule. I know I have gone down to one heart more than once.

If you run out of Dark Clumps, you can purchase more from a Bargainer Statue with Poe Souls, which can easily be found in the Depths. There is also a Bargainer Statue in between Lookout Landing and Hyrule Castle, so there is always a way to get the resources needed for Tears of the Kingdom.
