Unless you intend to pick up an axe and smack the continuously growing trees of Palworld for yourself, you must find a steady supply of lumber, which means putting your hard-working Pals to the task. Here are the best Pals for Lumbering in Palworld.
Best Pals for Lumbering in Palworld
In the early game, when you desperately need wood for crafting and construction, just about any Pal with the Lumbering skill proves helpful. I often have Eikthyrdeer tackling my Lumbering tasks for quite a while, but don’t hesitate to assign Tanzee or Lifmunk, both of which have Lumbering Level 1.
If you want to optimize your Lumbering in Palworld, then here’s the ranked list you should shoot for in your playthrough:
Pal | Lumbering | Tier |
---|---|---|
Wumpo | Level 3 | S |
Bushi | Level 3 | S |
Warsect | Level 2 | A |
Eikthyrdeer | Level 2 | A |
Goriat | Level 2 | A |
Reindrix | Level 2 | A |
Dinossom | Level 2 | A |
Lifmunk | Level 1 | B |
Tanzee | Level 1 | B |
Cawgnito | Level 1 | B |
Your B-Tier Pals, including Lifmunk, Tanzee, and Cawgnito, work well as early-game Lumbering Pals. They’re easy to track down and catch, so you can acquire two or three and assign them to pump out wood steadily.
But as you progress deeper into the game, leveling up and expanding your base, you’ll require more wood coming in quickly. Then, I recommend stepping up your game and immediately advancing to B-Tier and S-Tier, whichever Pals you can find in either one, to improve resource production.
Again, Eikthyrdeer is easy to catch in the starting zone and is equipped with Lumbering Level 2.
How to Harvest Wood
The best way to harvest wood in Palworld is to place down a Logging Site within the boundaries of your camp. There, a Pal with Lumbering will steadily work to produce the resource. You’ll likely want to place a Stump and Axe, unlocked later in the game via the technology tree, to improve the work speed at the Logging Site.
But if you don’t yet have the Logging Site unlocked, any Pal with Lumbering will automatically start cutting down nearby trees within range. No matter what, you’ll have wood flowing into your base.
