Best Cyberpunk 2077 Mods in 2023

Below are the most popular mods of 2023 that you can try to improve your game experience on PC:

Stealthrunner – Stealth Gameplay Expansion

If you are a player like me who prefers a stealthy playstyle, you can install the Stealthrunner Mod. It is the best mod that you can use for stealth. While you can use a stealthy approach in the missions, the game itself does not reward you for that. However, the Stealthrunner Mod actively keeps track of your stealthy approach and awards you for it.

With the Stealthrunner Mod installed, you will get optional objectives during the mission, including Pacifist, Ghost, Shadow, and others. Each represents an optional objective, and if you manage to complete the mission with any of these objectives completed, you will get Perk Points that you can use to enhance your stealth abilities. This Mod includes an extra skill tree that allows you to unlock skills like pickpocketing enemies without them knowing and accessing cameras by standing directly under them.

You will receive rewards for a certain number of jobs completed without violating the stealth objectives, which you can access from the Stealthrunner tab. Stealthrunner Mod allows you to completely change your approach toward the enemies with this new play style.

Metro System

In one of the first trailers for the game, you could see V traveling in a Metro Bus and looking out of the window, which was considered a mode of fast travel in the game. However, it was completely cut at launch, as you could not access travel in the Metro Bus, and it only fast travels you from one point to another.

But, with the Metro System mod designed by the modders, you can now travel the city as seen in the trailer of the game and go from one Metro Station to another. It adds that immersion of the traveling concept to the game that was shown in the trailers but was missing from the end product.

Enemies of Night City

When you progress through the game and unlock more powerful weapons, it will only take you two to three shots to kill the enemies, and they won’t be able to defend themselves from you, which makes the combat boring and repetitive. This is why the Enemies of Night City mod completely overhauls the enemies’ skills and makes them stronger than before. Enemies from each faction will get their own set of abilities and equipment identical to ours, which makes them more lethal in combat and difficult to defeat.

For example, enemies from the Voodoo Boys will have access to weapons that deal shock damage and Sandevistans or Optical Camo Cyberwares. With this mod, your encounter with the enemies from all the factions will be more engaging and thrilling.

AI Netrunners Enhanced

Netrunners are types of enemies that you rarely face among the enemy groups, where they try to hack your system with the basic Overheat hack. This hack only restricts you from using your Cyberdeck to hack the enemies for some time, which is pretty useless. But with this mod, enemies get access to a wide variety of hacks that the players have access to. They can now hack your system with the Crippling Movement quickhack to slow down your movement or the Reboot Optics quickhack to blur your vision. Along with these quickhacks, you can also enable ultimate quickhacks like System Failure quickhack, which will instantly kill you if the upload completes.

The AI Netrunners Enhanced gives some purpose to the Netrunners enemies in the game and makes them more challenging to face.

Time Dilation Overhaul

As the name suggests, the Time Dilation Overhaul mod completely reworks how the time is slowed down in the game and adds other new Sandevistans and Cyberdecks with their own mechanics and uses. You can now stop time completely and reflect incoming projectiles with your Katana using this mod.

It also adds the ability to slow down time while driving. Also, some Sandevistans allow you to blink in the direction you want to. These new Sandevistans will be available at Ripperdocs all across the map for you to buy. There’s so much you can do with this mod, which is not available in the base game.

Car Modification Shop

Another one of the most popular mods in Cyberpunk 2077 is the Car Modification Shop, which allows you to modify the cars in the game. The mod adds a physical location on the map where you can take your vehicle and apply any changes you want. You can fine-tune the engine of the car for better speed, or you can work on improving the handling. There are many parts that you can change in your vehicle. These parts are also further categorized into tiers, where the higher tiers cost more Eddies.

You can now apply different mods to your favorite vehicle to get the most performance out of it using this mod.

Enhanced Weather V2.2

Are you bored of the same old weather cycle in the game, where the weather keeps changing from Sunny to Cloudy, and you rarely see the rain or other weather? Well, this mod fixes that by changing the weather patterns and probability of other weathers occurring. There are a total of 17 weather transitions in the base game, but the weather cycle only goes through two of them. However, with this mod, you can now witness 59 weather transitions, like rain with heavy fog, and more. These weathers will also transition from one to another instead of going back to the previous one. You can enjoy the different weather conditions and mesmerize the visual beauty of the game like never before. This mod provides a sense of immersion, which was missing from Night City from the start.
