Best Loadout for the FJX Horus in MW3 and Warzone

An SMG fit for a God.

The FJX Horus is one of the two new guns that have been added to Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 at the start of Season 3. It’s always exciting to get a new weapon that’s meant for high mobility, and I have two different loadouts for you to try depending on the game mode you play most. Here are the best loadouts for the FJX Horus in MW3.

  • Barrel: Ruse-90 Light Barrel
  • Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
  • Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
  • Rear Grip: Lull-9M Grip
  • Stock: Ripper Light Stock

Compared to other weapons in the same class, the Horus has a tough time with recoil control and overall range. Instead of using all five slots to make the weapon feel more viable at medium range, it’s better to embrace that close quarters is where we need to stay in this case. For that reason, at least three attachments are geared toward mobility and speed for the SMG. The rear grip and the muzzle will help just enough to keep shots on target.

If you feel you need an optic, you can remove the muzzle and add the JAK Glassless Optic instead. In some cases, visual recoil can feel worse than genuine recoil, which is fixed by using clear optics like the glassless.

  • Barrel: Ruse-90 Light Barrel
  • Muzzle: L4R Flash Hider
  • Rear Grip: Lull-9M Grip
  • Stock: Ripper Light Stock
  • Magazine: 48 Round Mag

Like the MW3 loadout, you can swap the L4R Flash Hider muzzle out for the JAK Glassless Optic if you are still having trouble with visual recoil. Iron sights can make high recoil feel worse and the lack of an underbarrel is going to hurt at range. However, the Horus is meant to be used in close-quarters fights where melting an enemy is no problem at all.

Having a high-capacity magazine is also integral for the Warzone version of this weapon. Surviving in the Battle Royale modes or on Rebirth Island will mean having the ability to kill multiple enemies without any break.

At the very least, the FJX Horus is a perfect secondary for Rebirth Island in Season 3 of COD Warzone.
