The SVD is back

Despite being a semi-automatic sniper rifle, the KV Inhibitor has an incredible amount of damage in Modern Warfare and you can easily earn one-shot kills with quick succession. To make your KV even more lethal, I have the best loadout possible that will make your sniping feel as crisp as ever.

Best Attachments for the KV Inhibitor in MW3

Because of the high damage per shot in the KV Inhibitor, I focused on ADS speed for most of the attachments. The goal is to have your scope ready at a moment’s notice, especially with how fast the movement is once again. All of the quickscope attachments can be found here:

Best Loadout for the KV Inhibitor in MW3:

  • Barrel: Kastovia JEK-40 Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Kimura RYN-03 Vertical Grip or the 5 Round Mag
  • Rear Grip: Broadside Factory Grip
  • Stock: Ivanov Wood Stock
  • Laser: SL Razorhawk Laser

Three of the attachments in this build give a major boost to ADS speed and mobility. The JEK-40 Barrel has a trade-off in damage range, but I didn’t find myself getting too many hitmarkers on the chest or above. Hitmarkers were only common in areas like the limbs, which would likely get a hitmarker anyway. Mix that with the Broadside grip and the Ivanwood, and you have a recipe for a fantastic quickscope sniper.

The SL Razorhawk is another ADS option that adds tons of mobility, but you will have a visible laser on the rifle. In MW3, some of these lasers are visible at the hip and when you ADS, so it can be a huge detriment in some cases. You can swap the laser for the smaller mag or the underbarrel if you want the maximum ADS speed.

Best Class and Perks for the KV Inhibitor in MW3

With a KV Inhibitor, you need every advantage you can get against your enemy before they know you’re there, which means concealing your position. In Modern Warfare 3, the best perks are the Covert Sneakers and Ghost T/V Camo. With a decent secondary like the Renetti, you’ll also have a reliable swap.

Best Equipment and Perks for the KV Inhibitor in MW3:

  • Vest: Infantry Vest
  • Gloves: Quick Grip Gloves
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Field Equipment: Trophy System
  • Sidearm: Renetti

Keep in mind that Ghost only works in Modern Warfare 3 if you are moving, so camping with the sniper won’t help you. However, this class will be a fast-paced hybrid between a standard sniper and a quickscope loadout. The goal is to be as mobile as possible. If you feel that your Gear is wasted, use another option like EOD.

I like to run with the Renetti for the sidearm because it has a great mix of speed and damage in a pinch. Another option is the Stinger, which is the sidearm version of the Uzi, so it acts like a submachine gun.

How to Use the KV Inhibitor in Modern Warfare 3

With ADS attachments, you want to go for fast shots wherever you can. MW3 has tons of flinch against scopes, so if you stay scoped for too long, it could actually hurt your shots. You want to hit and run most of the time. Take a shot, earn a kill, then move positions.

For those of you who like ranged sniping, you can still use the KV inhibitor like you would with any other rifle. Get a good position and only have your head exposed when possible. Just remember that your glint will quickly give you away.
