Best Counters for the Intellion Seven Star Tera Raid in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
So to start, Inteleon is naturally a pure Water type, so with the new Ice Tera Type, you’re natural instinct would be to go for Fire, but because Inteleon will have plenty of Water moves, you’re going to need a new plan.
Here is Inteleon’s moveset for the seven-star Tera Raid
- Blizzard
- Snipe Shot
- Tearful Look
- Dark Pulse
- Snowscape
- Mist
So it can deal ice, water, and dark damage to your Pokemon. It’s Hidden Ability Sniper, increases the critical hit damage done by the user to 225% instead of 150%. So this Inteleon can hit your Pokemon hard if it lands a crit.
The Inteleon Tera Raid runs from April 28 through April 30, 2023. It will then begin again on May 5 and run through May 7, 2023. Be sure to have your team ready for one of those dates if you want to catch Inteleon with the mightiest Mark.
- Iron Hands
- Paldean Tauros
- Magnezone
Let’s break each one down.
Iron Hands
Iron Hands is an excellent pick here because of its STAB with fighting moves. Its dual typing of Fighting and Electric will make it your best option against all of Inteleon’s possible attacks. The strategy is simple and one you’ve likely used in previous Tera Raid battles. Drop an Electric Terrain to weaken Inteleon’s Water moves, and then go in with Belly Drum and Close Combat to deal incredible amounts of damage. Giving Iron Hands a Shell Bell will give it more survivability. EV train it in HP and Attack.

Paldean Tauros
Paldean Tauros, specifically the Fighting form, is also a solid pick here. Using moves like Sunny Day and Reversal to cut Inteleon’s attacks and also deal back any damage done to you. Raging Bull is also a potent move to use in this case. You can give Tauros just about any item, and it will survive, but a Shell Bell never hurt. EV Train in HP and Attack.
Magnezone
Magnezone has a pretty wide range of possible attacks to use in this case. Having Sunny Day can disrupt the Inteleon in case it has Rain Dance or other weather effects like snow. Magnezone is slow, so you’ll want to toss up a Light Screen to keep Magnezone in the fight. Having Metal Sound and Flash Cannon as your other two moves is solid. Magnezone’s ability Analytic will boost the power of its attack if it is last to go, which in most cases will happen. Give it a Shell Bell and EV train in Special Attack and HP.
