Best BAS-B Loadout and Class Setup in MW3

Battle rifles remain awkward in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, and weapons like the BAS-B walk the line between decent assault rifles or hard-hitting marksman rifles. Despite being in an odd middle ground, battle rifles can still tear through enemies with the right loadout to boost them.

Best Loadout for the BAS-B in MW3 Season 1

• Barrel: Bruen Venom Long Barrel
• Underbarrel: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop
• Rear Grip: STT88 Grip
• Magazine: 30 Round Mag
• Optic: MK. 23 Reflector

This weapon has a couple of unique issues, including a low ammo capacity and an iron sight that I find way too crowded. To fix that, I use the MK. 23 Reflector in the optic slot and the 30 Round Mag. It’s not the best when you’re forced to waste slots on supporting pieces, but for the BAS-B we can afford to get rid of an extra recoil piece. Otherwise, the attachments here are meant to increase control and range for the battle rifle. Luckily, control attachments don’t hurt ADS speed too much in this game, so your weapon will still be mobile.

I don’t usually stress the importance of the glove slot for perks, but the BAS-B might still need help in the mobility department. Reloading will take longer with the 30 Round Mag, which means more airborne accuracy can save your life. That’s also where the Renetti comes into play for the class. Dead silence and the Ghost gear speak for themselves due to how well they hide you, but EOD as another route you can go.

How to Unlock the BAS-B in Modern Warfare 3

To unlock the BAS-B, you need to reach level 7 in Multiplayer or Zombies. If you’re new to the game, you can use this battle rifle in the default loadout section as soon as you start your leveling process. This can save you some time as you grind for weapon XP ahead of level 7.
