Beach Jules changes in Fortnite – Why you got the Beach Jules message

The Beach Jules skin is currently the cause of a lot of confusion in Fortnite. Players who are logging in after the May 3 update will receive a message telling them that some changes have been made to the skin. Where it gets a little confusing is that this message should only have gone out to people who own the skin, but it appears to have been sent by every player in error.

The exact text of the message is as follows: “We’re made some changes to this cosmetic. If you are no longer satisfied with your purchase, you can request a refund anytime before 2 June 2022 using the in-game flow (no refund token required. Thanks for playing!”

This gives many players the impression that they already own the skin or that the skin was somehow free, but this is not the case. The message should only have been received by players who had previously purchased the skin so that they could choose to refund it if they wished.

The changes made to the skin were actually very minor, and it’s really just an alteration to the character’s skin tone. When you think about it, the skin tone change makes a lot of sense, given that the Beach Jules is meant to spend all her time hanging out at the beach. And that’s it. You obviously won’t be able to refund the skin if you don’t already have it purchased from the shop.
