The last major event during the Pokémon GO Season of Light is here in the form of the Astral Eclipse and there’s plenty of content including two Legendary debuts. Along with the new content is a fresh set of Collection Challenges that Trainers can complete for more badges and some rewards.
As always, Collection Challenges are based on catching specific Pokémon while the event is live that are part of the wild spawns. This gives Trainers an extra objective when major events run for around a week and they are easy ways to earn extra rewards. In this Astral Eclipse guide, we’ll go over all the catches you need for the latest Pokémon Collection Challenges and the rewards you’ll receive.
All Collection Challenges in the Pokémon GO Astral Eclipse Event
Starting on November 23 at 10 am local time, Trainers can begin searching the wild for specific event spawns. You’ll have until November 28 to complete all the challenges, and at that point, the Season of Light is almost over. Below, you can find the full Collection Challenges for this event.
Astral Eclipse: Sun Challenge
- Solrock
- Yungoos
- Sunkern
- Cottonee
- Petilil
- Alolan Vulpix
- Reward: 3,000 Stardust
Astral Eclipse: Moon Challenge
- Lunatone
- Alolan Rattata
- Hoothoot
- Clefairy

After you complete either challenge, you’ll earn an Elite Collector Badge as well that stacks onto your previously completed collections. These won’t provide you with any usable rewards, but many Trainers aim to build up their Elite Collector Badge as far as possible.
These challenges in the Pokémon GO Astral Eclipse event are also fairly easy in that you only need to catch some common spawns. Other challenges in the past have required evolutions, raids, or trades in order to complete them. As long as you search the wild before the event ends, this challenge should be an easy completion.
