Skinwalkers are one of the most famous horror folklore creatures, and they are present in many horror stories, movies, and video games. With Lethal Company hosting an array of otherworldly creatures and horrors, players are left wondering if Skinwalkers are present in the game.
Can You Encounter Skinwalkers in Lethal Company?
There are no Skinwalkers in Lethal Company at this moment. There are many other entities you will have to face inside and outside of Facilities on the Moons you visit on your quest for scrap, but Skinwalkers are not one of them at this moment. Who knows, maybe someday they’ll be added.
Will There Be Skinwalkers in Lethal Company in the Future?
Lethal Company developer Zeekerss likes interacting with the game’s rapidly growing community, and although they’ve made it clear that they’d like more horrors like Skinwalkers in the game, Zeekerss likely is focused on providing more important updates to Lethal Company for now. We may see monsters like Skinwalkers in Lethal Company in the future, but we also have to remember that the game is developed by a single person.
The community doesn’t leave anything to a chance (as you may have imagined), and we already have Skinwalker mods up and running. However, if Zeekerss does add Skinwalkers to the game, we’ll make sure to update this article.
How to Add Skinwalkers to Lethal Company via Mods
If you do not have experience with installing mods, we’ve got a guide on how to install the ThunderStore here. After you’ve installed the ThunderStore, you can go ahead and search for the Skinwalkers mod using the search function or go directly to the mod page. Here’s the Skinwalkers Mod ThunderStore page.
After you install the mod (and all of your crewmates), you can start your trip into madness on your next scrap run.
The instructions on how to handle this mod are on the official mod page and will probably change as the mod evolves. But how does it work?
This mod records some excerpts of the chatter on your voice chat and plays it back as proximity voice chat from the bodies of the monsters roaming around the Facility (based on your configuration). The intent is to confuse you and lure you to your death. According to the mod developer’s statement, the mod does not save your voice recordings but deletes them after they are used.
If you are using mods, you are probably wondering if you can be banned in Lethal Company.
