Are There Any New or Returning Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet Epilogue DLC?

Any more monsters to catch?

We’ve been a bit spoiled with the past two DLC episodes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, as they’ve provided additional Pokedex entries to add to our ever-growing collection. Do any new Pokemon show their face in the Epilogue DLC?

Can You Find Any New Pokemon in the Epilogue DLC for Scarlet & Violet?

If you were hoping for the mysterious bit of land in Paldea to finally be unlocked with plenty of new Pokemon to capture, you’re going to be a bit disappointed here. There is only one new Pokemon available to capture in the Epilogue, who just so happens to be a new Legendary named Pecharunt. Beyond that, there are no new or returning Pokemon that have come alongside this DLC.

However, as the Epilogue is meant to close things off for the Paldea crew, it’s kind of understandable why there would be no new Pokemon to capture. There are plenty of monsters roaming the lands between Kitakami and Blueberry Academy, not to mention the mainland of Paldea itself. Factor in the variety of Legendary Pokemon like Groudon that you can capture after completing the Indigo Disk, and you’ve got your hands full. While it would have been nice to finally see the last bit of Paldea opened up to explore, we can at least add one new creature to our Pokedex this time around.

What the Epilogue lacks in catchable Pokemon, it makes up in heart. It’s a great send-off for our Paldea friends and offers plenty of laughs with its unique take on a typical horror trope. If anything, it’s a way to showcase our most powerful Pokemon and see what the newest Legendary has to offer us on our upcoming adventures.

If you need some help getting your hands on some of the harder-to-find Pokemon, like Gouging Fire that are needed to complete your Pokedex, make sure that you’re checking out our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet section below. There are over 400 Monsters, and we’ve got your back to finish off your Dex.
