Are Shotguns Coming to BattleBit Remastered? – Answered

Geneva something something

In video games, there seems to be no middle ground with Shotguns – they’re either a blast, or completely useless; way too overpowered, or complete garbage. This matter has been debated over and over again, and the problem behind shotguns in video games is the actual creation of them.

BattleBit Remastered has experienced quite a lot of hype ever since it came out, but the absence of shotguns feels uncanny to a lot of players, with many wondering if Shotguns will be added to BattleBit Remastered. I have done a little bit of research to answer that very question below.

Will Shotguns Be Added to BattleBit Remastered?

You might be disappointed to learn that Shotguns will not be added to BattleBit Remastered. The same goes for axes and knives. Based on a few official posts by the community officials, shotguns would be very difficult to program properly much less to balance them properly.

That is quite an understandable stance from the developers. If you ask me, I wouldn’t touch that with a ten-foot pole, so I cannot say I blame the devs for even a second. Here’s a quote from TrueDevilâ„¢, a community representative (Senior Game and Discord Moderator):

“Shotguns in games have the ability to either be too powerful, or underpowered.. As you mentioned, balancing is very hard on them, therefore, the Devs have decided not to add them.

Also with the low TTK of some of the weapons, take AS Val for instance, it’s just as easy to use that, and possibly more versatile too.”

In conclusion, BattleBit Remastered will probably never be getting shotguns. Sorry to pump the brakes on you.
