As of November 30, 2023, The Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft has launched with a total of eight servers. Whether you’re interested in a more peaceful playthrough or you’re seeking the blood of your enemies, you’ll be able to find a realm that fits your needs below.

What are Realm Types?
Choosing the type of Realm you’ll play on will depend on the experience you’re looking for in Season of Discovery.
- Normal Realms, also known as PVE, won’t have any faction-based PVP enabled in them. If you’re looking for a more laid-back experience where you won’t have to constantly look over your shoulder, these realms are for you.
- RP Realms, like Normals, exclude faction-based PVP and are meant for players who enjoy mixing in a bit of roleplaying and storytelling.
- PVP Realms, as the name indicates, are worlds where players of opposing factions can fight and kill each other in any of the contested zones out in the wild.
- RPPVP Realms are essentially PVP Realms for players who are also interested in roleplaying as well.
What is the Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft?
The Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft is the classic WoW experience with a few twists. Players will create characters as expected, but will only reach a maximum level of 25 for the initial phase. Throughout their journey, players will discover class-altering abilities, partake in new endgame activities, and enhance their characters with the new Rune Engraving system.
Strategies for Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft
First and foremost, you should prioritize storage. Given that bag space is fairly scarce in phase 1, you’ll need to be extra prepared. You’ll want to hunt down bags such as the Small Silk Pack, the Ooze-covered Bag, Deviate Hide Pack, and so on. Here’s a list of storage bags you should look out for
- Ooze-covered Bag – received from Digging Through the Ooze quest
- Deviate Hide Pack – received from Deviate Hides quest
- Gunnysack of the Night Watch – received from The Night Watch quest
- Traveler’s Backpack – received from fishing in Alterac Valley and Winterspring
- Small Silk Pack – made from reagents Bolt of Silk Cloth (3), Heavy Leather (2), and Fine Thread (3). You’ll need Tailoring (150.
- Journeyman’s Backpack – received from fishing in Moonglade.
