Every Romanceable NPC in Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader

The three romanceable NPCs in Rogue Trader are Cassia Orsellio, Heinrix Van Calox, and Jae Heydari. All other companions in the game are considered non-romanceable and are purely there to aid you in battle. With that in mind, it’s also worth noting that each of these three characters has their own romance preferences, which you can find below:

  • Cassia Orsellio: Male Romantic Preference
  • Heinrix Van Calox: Female Romantic Preference
  • Jae Heydari: Male or Female Romantic Preference

Before we continue, it’s important to note that there is technically a fourth romance we know about. Yrliet Lanaevyss, the Aeldari Ranger, can technically be romanced. However, it appears this romance is purely platonic and shouldn’t be seen as anything serious like the other three.

What is Each Romance Partner Like?

Before you choose who you’ll romance (outside of the fact that your character will only be able to access two of the three romances), you might want to know who you’re dealing with.

Cassia Orsellio is a Navigator, a Human Mutant who can use her powers to both support her allies and take the battle to the enemy. In terms of her character, one of her major gripes is how her mutations take away from her sense of self-worth. Helping her out might make her appreciate you more.

Heinrix van Calox is an interrogator of the Ordos Xenos, designed to stop the actions of foul demons who would spit on the image of the Imperium of Man through existence alone. He isn’t the most friendly around crowds, let alone the Xenos and heretics who stand by your side in battle. You might need to help change his viewpoint on that.

Finally, there’s Jae Heydari, a powerful leader who’s found as many allies through her trading escapades as she has enemies who want nothing more than her immediate and brutal death. While her main mission with the Rogue Trader is to find whatever riches she can, she might be open to more romantic pursuits with the right companion.

As for which path you choose, well it’s up to you at that point. I’ll likely go with Jae Heydari since she seems the most interesting of the two options I’ll have, but I may choose Cassia if she catches my attention enough.
