Sonic Frontiers got a new trailer and more importantly, an actual release date today. And, of course, with a release date (November 8, by the way) comes pre-order listings. And with pre-order listings come pre-order bonuses. And with pre-order bonuses come buckets of annoying online content to sift through.
Ads for both Best Buy and GameStop popped up first, probably because they’re the same thing. Both retailers are offering a Steelbook case and “The Adventurer’s Treasure Box” DLC.

The Steelbook cases have different designs on the ads, but for now, it isn’t clear if one is a placeholder and one is a final design, or if they’re both different. The DLC comprises a number of in-game items: Skill Points, Blue Seeds of Defense, and Red Seeds of Power.
There’s also a Digital Deluxe Edition, which of course will not be available with a retail disc. That comes with the above DLC and “Explorer’s Treasure Box.” You also get a digital art book and a digital album with 25 tracks.
The Explorer’s Treasure Box DLC comes with the following: Amy’s Memory Tokens, A Portal Gear, Chaos Emerald Vault Keys, and “additional gloves and shoes for Sonic.”
For context on what the hell any of that means, we’ll have to wait for more information from Sega. And if other goodies show up between now and then, we’ll be sure to update this post!
