HoYoverse’s newest game, Zenless Zone Zero, continues to captivate its audience with the possibility of an urban and modernized world to explore complete with a vast array of characters from every forest, sea, and gutter.

Between robots, animals on two legs, and Sharkboy in a maid’s outfit, Zenless Zone Zero already promises to have quite a colorful cast. Five different factions exist to explore the Hollows, an alternate reality filled with ghastly creatures. Exterminating these ensures the continued safety of New Eridu. 

Who Are the Newest Characters in Zenless Zone Zero?

Believe it or not, some of these characters weren’t always around. It’s not just a trick in your mind. While in development, HoYoverse has been adding to its lineup with a few new characters being added since its first trailer reveal. You may have seen them in the latest release on YouTube, here’s a further broken-down overview of who has joined the factions.

In the Victoria Housekeeping Company, two new maids are joining the ranks. One of which is Ellen Joe, a hybrid human who has shark features including a dorsal fin and a tail. Even her movements in battle seem to mimic that of a shark stalking through the waters for its prey. The other maid is Alexandria, a young woman with a sweet demeanor who can control puppets in battle through the strings from her hands. In the above video, we see a glimpse at her gameplay that resembles some of the popular gameplay from HoYoverse’s sister game Honkai Impact 3rd.

For the other factions, Belobog Heavy Industries has a new construction worker who goes by Grace Howard. Although no gameplay for her has been revealed just yet, she is known to be a precise and meticulous worker. Last but not least, our newest face in the Gentle House or Cunning Hares is a catgirl known as Nekomiya Mana. Because what anime game would be complete without a catgirl somewhere within its ranks? Quick and skillful, Nekomiya’s gameplay is chaotic on the field with multiple attacks clawing into her enemies. Just be sure to keep an eye on your treasured items since she’s also known to have a bit of kleptomania.

Currently, the official Zenless Zone Zero website has a few placeholders for characters that will come out soon in the upcoming months.
