All New Locations and Map Changes in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1

Chapter 5 of Fortnite has brought a whole host of changes, from bosses toting shield-regenerating medallions to slushy new biomes.

The most notable difference in the new Fortnite map is that the map is now split between three biomes. The Eastern side of the island is coated in snow. The core of the island is lush and forested, with a floating island and lake. The Western side of the island is dryer and more arid.

There are more rivers and large channels separating points of interest as well. But players can take the train to quickly get from point a to point b, using the railway stations scattered across the map. The main station can be found at Reckless Railways Grand Station.

However, with the zone moving so quickly, it’s a good idea to be aware of what direction the train is moving before you step on board.

Likewise, vertical ziplines have made it easier to navigate the map, which is now more 3D. Sewer grates can also be used to teleport around the map.

Other exciting developments on the map are a new mountain at the border of Ritzy Rivera and Rebel’s Roost, a new set of railway tunnels, and a mansion in the snowy biome.
