What Are Marks in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

Marks are special ornaments given to Pokémon under certain conditions that give them new titles. Most are granted automatically as soon as the Pokemon is caught, but some are obtained under special conditions. They’re very similar to Ribbons, but the main difference is that most of them are only obtained when catching the Pokemon.

They’ve been introduced in Pokemon Sword and Shield, and all Marks obtained in previous games will still be reflected in further games. You can increase the chances of getting a Mark Pokemon by eating special Sandwiches with Title Power effects, but not all Marks will be affected by it.

Most marks are tied to wild Pokemon only, so hatched Pokemon will never be able to have a few of them.
