Valorant’s maps are as diverse as ever, though you can’t always play them in certain modes. Here are all maps in rotation as of Episode 8 Act 2 of Valorant.
Every Playable Map in Valorant Episode 8 Act 2
For Episode 8 Act 2 of Valorant, seven of the game’s 10 maps are currently playable. These maps are as follows:
- Ascent
- Bind
- Breeze
- Icebox
- Lotus
- Split
- Sunset
This leaves Fracture, Haven, and Pearl as the currently unavailable maps. While this rotation used to only affect Unrated and Competitive, this has been expanded to include all modes that use Standard maps, including modes like Spike Rush and Swift Play. Team Deathmatch, which uses unique maps, isn’t affected by this.
It should also be known if you’re a fan of pro play that this rotation may or may not affect the professional scene. This is because of changes only coming into effect at certain times for pro players to give them a chance to adjust to various changes made to agents, weapons, and maps. If it were to be a one-to-one comparison, there’s a chance pro play could be played on a new version of a map that pro teams have had only a few days to get accustomed to.
Which Maps Will Enter and Leave Rotation Next?
While Riot doesn’t usually reveal which maps will enter and leave rotation next, we can infer a bit from the amount of times maps have been in or out of rotation. Fracture and Pearl are both likely candidates to return, having not featured in the game since Episode 6 ended. Lotus, Ascent, and Split are all likely to leave rotation, in contrast, since they’ve been in the game for as many as four or five episodes at this point.
