All Maps in Modern Warfare 3 Listed

Back to the basics

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is about to have one of the largest lists of remastered maps in any of the mainline games, and most of them happen to be from 2009. The full launch of the game is right around the corner, and I can give you the full list of maps to expect on November 10.

There will be 20 maps available to play when Modern Warfare 3 launches and 16 of them are from Modern Warfare 2 2009. In fact, every single base game map from MW2 2009 will be remade with brand-new fidelity. On top of those core maps, there are four additional large-scale maps for modes like Invasion and War Mode.

Here are all the maps that will be in Modern Warfare 3:

  • Afghan
  • Derail
  • Estate
  • Favela
  • Highrise
  • Invasion
  • Karachi
  • Quarry
  • Rundown
  • Rust
  • Scrapyard
  • Skidrow
  • Sub Base
  • Terminal
  • Underpass
  • Wasteland
  • Three Ground War Maps
  • One War Mode Map

All of these will be available to play as soon as the game launches, which also means there are no new 6v6 maps in COD MW3 right away. We all have to wait until at least Season 1, which usually goes live about one month after the initial release. That could change depending on the timeline with Warzone.

Both Season 1 and Season 2 will bring three new 6v6 maps. Over the course of one year in Modern Warfare 3, there will be at least 12 new core 6v6 maps for players to jump into, bringing the total count to a minimum of 28 different core maps. Other Ground War maps are certain to appear, and we could also get more remakes, but that isn’t confirmed.

In the meantime, check out how slide canceling will change for the better in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
