Ever Crisis has finally arrived, bringing a different view of events from the complete Final Fantasy VII universe. In the trailers, we saw cute chibi graphics similar to the OG title 1997 that started it all, but also that many other games from the “Compilation of Final Fantasy VII” are covered, including many spin-off titles, mobile games, movies, and whatnot. However, players are wondering how much of those will be included in the launch version of this free mobile game. Let’s find out.

All Story Chapters in Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis

As game creator Motomu Toriyama previously confirmed to Famitsu, Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will come with three stories at launch on September 7; they are:

  1. Final Fantasy VII
  2. Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII
  3. Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier

Final Fantasy VII part of Ever Crisis in the launch version will take players through Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Midgar. At the same time, Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII and The First Soldier, an adaptation of the defunct free-to-play battle royale game from 2021, will expand with additional chapters from month to month.

Details are sketchy about how each of these stories will continue, for how long, and when the other Final Fantasy VII stories we’ve seen in the trailers will be added, like Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and others. Hopefully, a road map will be presented shortly after the launch. Still, we assume that the future updates will also heavily depend on the game’s success – remember how quickly the plug was pulled for First Soldier when the game did not meet with a particularly good response from the players.

What is particularly exciting is that Square Enix confirmed that Ever Crisis will be tied into Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel to the fantastic Final Fantasy VII Remake from 2020. How exactly they will be connected remains to be seen.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available now for all Android (at Google Play Store) and iOS (at Apple App Store) devices.
