The developers haven’t shared the target resolution or framerate here, but it’s safe to say these requirements don’t have ray tracing in mind. For now, if you’re looking to play at higher settings, you’ll need a GTX 970 paired with a generic i5 CPU with a 3.6 GHz clock speed.

Based on these, it doesn’t look like you need much to run the remaster, but we’ll have to see what kind of GPU you’ll need at launch to support ray tracing. Apart from that, you need 16 GB of RAM to play the title. On the lower side, even an ancient GTX 645 should be enough for some form of experience.

Age of Mythology: Retold is coming to PC and Xbox Series S|X on September 4, 2024. The standard edition will be available on day one on Game Pass for PC and consoles.

If you’re fine with spending some extra bucks, you can actually play the upcoming remaster a bit early.
