In order to experience the Winters’ Expansion, you first need to know which version of Resident Evil Village to buy. However, if you have never played Resident Evil Village, then you will want to buy the “Gold Edition” of the game. Play the Story of Resident Evil Village First

For new players, while it might be tempting to jump right into some of the exciting DLC of The Winters’ Expansion, it’s pretty obvious that you should play through the story mode of Resident Evil Village first, as it will teach you the game’s mechanics and introduce the characters found in the other DLC modes. Also, thanks to the Winters’ Expansion, you can now experience the campaign of Resident Evil Village from either the first or third-person perspective, which can be adjusted at a whim. Whether you loved the claustrophobic, FPS feel of Resident Evil VII: Biohazard, or the third-person zombie fighting action of Resident Evil 2, you will find a preference that matches your Resident Evil gaming needs.
