Here’s Why Jaskier Doesn’t Have His Hat In The Witcher Netflix Series, According to Showrunner

Jaskier is a doll but WHERE IS HIS ICONIC HAT!?

The Witcher Netflix series, despite a few creative changes from the books, has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from novel-lovers and gamers alike. It seems to be fitting that hole left behind by Game of Thrones quite nicely, but one thing many can’t help but to ask for those that loved Dandelion / Jaskier is where is his nifty-looking hat?! Showrunner Lauren Hissrich explains.

Hissrich recently hosted a Reddit AMA where fans could ask anything they wanted (scary) and one question that popped up numerous times related to the hat of Jaskier. According to the showrunner:

Ah, yes, the hat! It was made, we tried it on Joey, and we couldn’t stop laughing. Will we try again? Sure. Nothing is impossible. And yes, we dropped the ball on aging him up over the course of the show. It’s hard to show the passage of time when everyone looks the same, so we’ll be approaching that differently in S2.

While we didn’t get to see him all dolled up while singing that damned Toss a Coin song that is in everyone’s heads, Hissrich did tease that the hat might finally make it into The Witcher Netflix series with season 2.

As for the show that’s on Netflix now in its entirity, it has been a massive success thus far. With it dethroning The Mandalorian as the most streamed television show going on now and it breaking records once more for the game counterpart seen in The Witcher III, there’s no doubt about it that Superman’s Henry Cavill pulled off his latest role in stunning detail.

Haven’t seen The Witcher Netflix series yet? Want to watch so you can understand all of the “toss” jokes and song references? Then make sure to check it out on Netflix now! Happy witchering!
