Today, Activision and Treyarch finally unleashed the first gameplay trailer for Blackout mode, Call of Duty’s take on the battle royale genre. Blackout will be the first iteration of battle royale in the Call of Duty franchise, and will feature the largest multiplayer map in the series to date.

The Blackout Battle Royale trailer gives Call of Duty fans a taste of what they can expect in the upcoming 80-player game mode when Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 releases in October. Players will battle throughout a series of familiar locations based on iconic maps from previous Black Ops games, such as Nuketown, Asylum, and Firing Range, among others. A labeled map of Blackout was released earlier this week, giving fans an idea of the size and layout of the upcoming mode.

Based on the trailer, Blackout players will be able to take to the sky in helicopters, battle it out on boats, and chase their opponents down on land using various vehicles to traverse the expansive new map. Zombies make a brief appearance in the trailer as well, showing that enemy players aren’t the only threat on the battlefield in Blackout.

Players who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will get to try out the new battle royale mode early when the Blackout Private Beta arrives next week. The Blackout beta comes first to PS4, and will open up to other platforms in the days that follow. The full game releases on October 12.
