If you ever wanted to get in on game collecting and really want the “ultimate” set-up really fast, you might want to pay attention to this particular auction.
A seller by the name of “byuu” has put up an auction for every single released SNES game in the US – that’s 721 releases in all – in one huge collection. The games are complete with boxes and books, it appears, and this includes such rarities as Demon’s Crest, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and the Final Fantasy games. So, yes, it’s drool-worthy.
Ahh, but there’s a catch – it’ll cost you plenty. The collection is being auctioned off on eBay for $25,000. And that’s not including shipping.
The seller, “byuu”, picked up the games in an effort to support his Bsnes emulator, and he’ll be using the proceeds from the auction (if they sell) to work on the next set of games for Japan and Europe. No one’s hit the full bid price yet ($20,000 was the closest offer), but he remains hopeful.
If you’re gutsy enough to bid – or just want to give us a really, really nice Christmas present, head over to the auction here.
