This weekend brought an overload of new information for WB Games’ Batman: Arkham Origins, its upcoming prequel to the Arkham saga that Rocksteady Games first created in 2009.
It appears the Joker will be making an appearance in the game and WB has chosen quite the actor to fill in for him: Troy Baker, who previously voiced Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite. Roger Craig Smith has also signed on as the younger Batman and long-time Caped Crusader vet Kevin Conroy will take part in the project as well, probably as an older Batman telling the story through flashbacks.
WB Games also confirmed that Deathstroke, one of the deadly assassins that Batman will be going up against, will be playable through an offered piece of downloadable content. It will include a series of challenge maps and skins, though his abilities haven’t been broken down as of yet. You should expect lots of swordplay…
Finally, a new nearly five minute CG trailer has made its way to the Internet, featuring the debut of the main enemy in the game: Black Mask. You can watch it here.
Batman: Arkham Origins hits stores on October 25th for PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U.
