A notice appeared on Adult Swim’s site with hinting at the collaboration but revealing very few details.

The text on the site reads:

“Coming next week Adult Swim & Valve are teaming up for something that you’ll probably enjoy. To learn how their video game peanut butter will be getting in our network’s chocolate, come back next week. Also: You’ll want to sign up for the newsletter. You’ve been warned.”

In an attempt to create some buzz on the collaboration, a Twitter frame has been placed on the site underneath the announcement. It’s configured to display Tweets with #adultswim, #teamfortress or the URL http://adultswim.com/teamfortress.

Adult Swim has brought us classic cartoons as Metalocalypse, Moral Orel, Assy Mcgee, Aqua Something You Know Whatever (formerly Agua Unit Patrol Squad 1, and before that Aqua Teen Hunger Force,Venture Bros. and Sealab 2021 amongst others.

The Adult in Adult Swim is there for a reason though, so be warned, the cartoons are not for the faint hearted. This isn’t the company’s first foray into gaming; the Adult Swim website is full of some actually quite decent minigames.

We don’t yet know if the project will be a game, series or simply a cameo from Team Fortress characters in an Adult Swim show, knowing these two companies it could be almost anything.
