Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the first story DLC Naughty Dog has produced for the Uncharted series. While Uncharted 4 was the end of Nathan Drake’s journey, the development team thought long and hard about who to focus the DLC around. At PlayStation Experience this morning, that answered is what opened the showcase. The Uncharted: The Lost Legacy DLC will focus on Chloe Frazer as the lead protagonist.
You can check out the 9-minute gameplay reveal below, which showcases an early portion of the DLC. Chloe is featured in a war-torn city as she makes her way to a rendezvous with her partner, Nadine Ross. In typical Uncharted fashion, things go wrong forcing Chloe and Ross to improvise and take down some bad guys.
The Lost Legacy is not your average DLC. It’s considerably larger than any other DLC Naughty Dog has produced, so much so that it’s going to be sold as a standalone product. If you didn’t pick up Uncharted 4, you can still buy and play through The Lost Legacy. However, if you bought the Uncharted 4 Digital Deluxe Edition or the Explorer’s Pack, you’ll still be able to play through The Lost Legacy when it releases next year. If you haven’t picked up either, they will only be on sale until December 13, so move fast or you’ll be left out of the deal (you will still be able to purchase the DLC separately though).
