Gearbox Software’s latest piece of the Borderlands 2 saga has been a long time coming, and next week, it finally arrives.

T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest, the first in the developer’s new line of “Headhunter” DLC for the game, will release on October 22nd for a very affordable $2.99. In it, players will be able to take on a horde of new enemies while attempting to find a key to the Pumpkin Kingpin’s pumpkin patch. Progress enough, and you’ll be able to contend with the Kingpin himself.

The content will release for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC. No word yet on when the remaining DLC will arrive, but we’ll keep you posted.

For now, we’ve got pumpkins to squash.

As a bonus, we’ve also included the new trailer for Gearbox’s Borderlands 2: Game of the Year Edition, which features a drunken Claptrap and makes fine use of Wang Chung’s 1980’s classic “Everybody Have Fun Tonight.” Go, enjoy.

Borderlands 2 is available now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
