Despite a bit of negative buzz from people who, for some questionable reason, aren’t fans of bargains, THQ’s Humble Bundle has been nothing short of a success, selling such games as Darksiders, Red Faction: Armageddon, Metro 2033, the above-pictured Saints Row: The Third and various others for a fairly good price.
The deal has finally come to a close, and, in all, slightly over 885,000 bundles have been shifted, allowing the company to raise $5 million, between themselves and a charitable cause.
The deal is no doubt a big push for THQ, who could use the good news right now as they continue to struggle to reach profitability again. 2013 is looking like a good year for them, though, as both Metro: Last Light and South Park: The Stick of Truth are on the horizon, along with the long-awaited Company of Heroes 2. Here’s hoping they continue on the rebound.
