Continuing to rebuild its foundation so that it’s putting itself into profitability again, THQ has announced that they’ve hired yet another company vet to help guide them into good waters.
Ron Moravek, a co-founder of Relic Entertainment (the same team behind Company of Heroes), has joined on as the new executive vice president in charge of production. Moravek will be reporting directly to THQ prez Jason Rubin, bringing with him 14 years of experience. He previously served under EA Canada and vice president and COO.
“Ron is an exceptional development executive with unique perspective on the industry from both a creative and business point of view,” Rubin says. “His entrepreneurial experience as well as his ability to drive dynamic teams is a great fit for our strategic objectives. Additionally, Ron’s experience building high-quality products will help us continue to deliver great games and build upon our foundation to innovate digitally in the future.”
Next month, THQ starts a solid upward swing that begins with Darksiders II finally working its way to retail release. Here’s wishing Moravek and THQ the best for the months ahead.
