Battlefield 5 Firestorm is now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, adding fresh battle royale gameplay to the world of Battlefield 5. While other battle royale titles like Fortnite offer some type of cross-platform support, it’s not immediately clear whether cross-play is available in Battlefield 5 Firestorm.
Unfortunately, as of the time of this writing, there is no cross-platform support available in Battlefield 5 Firestorm. It’s possible that in the future, DICE may decide to add cross-play to Battlefield 5 Firestorm, though this addition has yet to be explicitly confirmed or discussed.
Because of this, you won’t be able to play with your friends across different platforms. Even though you can team up on PlayStation 4, if other friends are playing on Xbox One, you won’t be able to join them. Again, cross-platform support may be added in by EA and DICE at a later date.
Until then, be sure to check back as we’ll be posting updates as more information regarding cross-play in Battlefield 5 Firestorm is revealed! For more on Battlefield 5 Firestorm, head over to the Firestorm breakdown post on the Battlefield 5 website.
