The FFXIV and FFXVI Crossover Quests: The Path Infernal Will Bring Torgal to Eorzea

The Yoshi-P and Naoki Yoshida collaboration of every FFXIV player's dreams.

It’s Fan Fest time, and Square Enix has just announced that a series of FFXIV x FFXVI crossover quests titled The Path Infernal will be released when Patch 6.5x goes live in Final Fantasy XIV. It’s finally time for Yoshi-P and Naoki Yoshida to work together to bring these two magnificent worlds together, and he did just that.

During the keynote presentation at the 2023 Fan Festival hosted in London, Naoki Yoshida provided attendees with a trailer that illustrates what FFXIV players can expect when The Path Infernal is live. The trailer shows a battle with Ifrit, who, as FFXVI fans know, is a key story component. You’re not alone in this battle as Clive Rosfield is fighting alongside you.

As cool and collected as Clive is, we know that he plays second fiddle to the shining star of the story, Torgal. Fans have requested Torgal to exist in some form in-game for quite some time now, and their prayers have been answered as the trailer shows off a Torgal mount. On top of this, there is also a puppy Torgal minion to collect. And really, who could say no to those puppy dog eyes? You can take it even further and dress up like royalty with Clive Rosfield’s attire available through the collaboration as well.

Specific details regarding the event such as how the items are obtained have not been released yet. But one thing is for sure, when The Path Infernal goes live, expect to see Torgal in both puppy and adult forms all over Eorzea.
