The collaboration between Nintendo and Namco Bandai on the new Super Smash Bros. game is quite curious, but also something worth getting excited about.  And at E3, it’ll certainly make an impact – maybe even bigger than you expect.

Following Nintendo’s confirmation that the game’s first screens would be shown at E3 in a few months, designer Masahiro Sakurai then posted on his Twitter account that we might get even more of a reveal than that.

Sakurai stated his wishes to show not only the forthcoming Wii U version, but also the one that’s in production for the Nintendo 3DS.  When it came to showing off the games, he wants to “release something better”, indicating that we might even see a live demo of the game…though obviously Nintendo has to make the final call.

Melee and Brawl, the previous Smash Bros. games, got fairly good reveals at E3 in years past, so we figure that the forthcoming versions will get equal, if not better, treatment.  Guess we’ll find out in a few months’ time when the company’s press conference takes place…
