Akamai Edge DNS service is currently experiencing difficulties that are leading to outages. You can read a statement from them below.

We are aware of an emerging issue with the Edge DNS service. 

We are actively investigating the issue. If you have questions or are experiencing impact due to this issue, please contact Akamai Technical Support. In the interest of time, we are providing you the most current information available, which is subject to changes, corrections, and updates. 

Plenty of games like Fortnite and Warframe have tweeted that this is causing issues on their end currently. Of course, the outages are also affecting services outside of the games industry as well like Fidelity, HBO, Chase, and more.

It doesn’t seem like there is an easy fix for this currently. It could be a while, so be sure to keep checking the status on the respective support channels to see when servers return to normal.
